Summer School: Sensors for Air Quality Monitoring and Data Analysis Using Artificial Intelligence
Summer School: Sensors for Air Quality Monitoring and Data Analysis Using Artificial Intelligence (Summer School organized by the University of Craiova, Craiova, Romania)
Description
This joint summer school will be an intensive English-language course (5 days of activities, 40 hours, with participation diplomas within this project), organized in Craiova. Students from both universities will participate: the University of Craiova (UCV) and the D.A. Tsenov Academy of Economics (TAE).
Students will learn how to build a sensor using sensor kits (based on the Arduino platform), how to program it, and what the Internet of Things (IoT) is (connecting sensors to an international network for citizen science). Participants will also learn about air quality monitoring, the importance of clean air for health, and will discuss pollution as a triggering factor in the context of global warming.
This summer school will be conducted in English. Furthermore, specialists in climate change from the National Meteorological Administration, entrepreneurs with businesses in innovation and technology, and personal development advisors will be invited to join the project team.
